Our Story
AFSA was established in Pretoria in 2024 by a coalition of veteran scouts, former players, and sports lawyers who saw the need for a unified, ethical standard in African football. While the continent produces some of the world's finest athletic talent, grassroots scouting has historically lacked structure, leaving young players vulnerable to unregistered intermediaries.
In rural academies and urban street tournaments, raw talent is abundant but administrative structure is missing. Unregistered agents often lure minor players with false promises of European trials, only to abandon them when contract structures collapse. Our goal is to build an open, verifiable pipeline. By certifying local scouts, standardizing scouting reports, and partnering with international clubs, we ensure that talent identification is based entirely on merit, data, and player welfare.
